This Artist Challenges Consumerism Polly Brown "Fashion" Series

With the accelerating production cycles within the fashion industry, we’re faced with new collectible items and must-have collections every single day. Very often, we drool over limited-edition products without even taking a moment to think about if we actually need them.

To explore the idea of consumerism, artist Polly Brown has created a photography series entitled “FASHION,” featuring her DIY versions of some of today’s most coveted clothing items. By using Sharpies and Tipp-Ex to recreate Supreme, Palace and Vetements‘ iconic pieces, Brown questions the value of luxury fashion and prompts viewers to rethink their desire for brand-name goods.
