REEBOK PRESENTS TAKE A DIFFERENT PATH AND BRINGS US BACK TO THE 1990S

A few days ago, we went to London with Alessio Pomioli for the presentation of Take A Different Path, the new line of sneakers signed Reebok. For the occasion was also presented the Aztrek shoe, the first piece in the collection. For the F/W 2018 season, the sports brand looks to the past to bring something new in the future and the period of reference could only be the 90s, a decade that was a turning point for both Reebok and the street culture and street style. Years, when the sneakers become a real must have. By crossing artistic boundaries and blending genres, the campaign stars fresh faces, including Anais Gallagher, Oneman and Portia Ferrari, who adopt the daring attitude of the 90s.

The short film, styled by Wavey Garms, invites the spectator to participate in the journey, seamlessly navigating in a diverse underground landscape, in which each scene reflects a sub-culture of the 90s.

Narrated by poet James Massiah, our journey begins in the intimate space of a DJ’s bedroom. Oozing nostalgia, Oneman, and Ryan Hawaii welcome us into their humble studio, before being dragged by a fleet of scooters and skateboards into a billiard room in the south of London. Here Anais Gallagher guides us through the tables to the dance floor. Our evening ends in the woodland rave, where the psychedelic moves of Kaner Flex transcend time and space. Take A Different Path is for people who challenge expectations, which with self-expression challenge conformism.
