Back in Ancient Greek times (7th century BC to be exact), people would gather after banquets to chat, dance, mingle and have fun under the temples of the Selinute Archeological Park in Siciliy. Flash forward a few thousand centuries, and Gucci is reigniting that spirit for their Pre-Fall 2019 campaign. Descending on the Sicilian site, Creative Director Alessandro Michele wanted to give the after banquet gatherings a modern twist, bringing an eclectic troupe of counter-cultural groups to the ruins to chat philosophy and poetry, play music and have a dance together. Joining hardcore punks, bodybuilders, rollerbladers and surfers, Alessandro Michele has created a surreal and contemporary tableau vivant that gives a fresh look at the antiquity afterparty.
