Building Bridges (Costruendo Ponti) is the name of the work presented by sculptor Lorenzo Quinn, fifth son of famous actor Anthony Quinn, at the Arsenale Nord in Venice, a location that is part of the implementation of Biennale exhibition area. There are six bridges 15 meters high and 20 meters long, revisited in the form of hands; each sculpture represents one of the universal values of the human being: friendship, wisdom, help, faith, hope, and love. This is not the first time that the artist has exhibited in Venice, remember that in 2017 Lorenzo presented his sculpture Support, where colossal hands held a hotel on the Grand Canal.
This time the hands symbolize the desire to overcome the concept of difference in various aspects of life: geographical, philosophical, cultural and emotional; and here the bridge becomes a symbol, which connects, unites and breaks down cultural differences in favour of a peaceful world.
