Stella is a London-based photographer and director, originally from Bergamo, Italy.
She first fell in love with the medium at 14 years old, when a shitty camera-phone became her favourite excuse to skip Ancient Greek in high school.
She moved to London in the summer of 2009, in part on a whim of teenage recklessness, but mostly to pursue a degree in photography at London College of Communication, supporting herself with assisting jobs for Rankin, Derrick Santini and Garry Fabian Miller. To this date, Stella has shot and directed for magazines such as i-D, Dazed and Confused, British Vogue, Vogue Italia, Vogue UA, Wonderland, Hero and Vice. She held her first solo exhibition Love Me in May 2019 at Protein Studios, Shoreditch, London. Through her projects, crossing over from fashion to documentary, Stella aims to celebrate youth and freedom from social stereotypes and rules.
Her work carries the message that people do not have to follow ceratin criteria to be accepted or succeed. Stella also tries as much as possible to feature conscious brands and promote green alternatives against corporate greed.
