Once again this year the Amsterdam Light Festival returns, from 28 November 2019 to 19 January 2020. The festival, now in its eighth edition, attracts tourists and involves the locals to revive a very special part of the year in which darkness falls over the city for about sixteen hours a day. The artistic event has intelligently managed to take advantage of a disadvantageous condition, enhancing Amsterdam with beautiful light art installations. You can monitor your movements around the city with a telephone application, so you can easily find your way around the center of Amsterdam. The tour includes twenty light works by artists from all over the world. The theme of this year’s exhibition was “DISRUPT”: artists have produced works that focus primarily on climate change, national history, technology and more.
