DIPTYQUE’S NEW “ORPHÉON” PERFUME IS AN ODE TO THE NIGHT BAR NEXT TO ITS FIRST PARIS BOUTIQUE

In celebration of its 60th anniversary, diptyque has unveiled a brand new scent. Dubbed “Orphéon,” the latest addition to the brand’s perfume range is inspired by the late-night bar next to its first boutique in Paris. Created by perfumer Olivier Pescheux, the goal of “Orphéon” is to transport customers back to one of the label’s most memorable places in the City of Lights. The fragrance is dominated by cedar, vetiver and patchouli influenced by the atmosphere of the bar. To complement the woody notes, ingredients like ylang-ylang, magnolia, damascena and jasmine have been added to provide a subtle floral scent. A touch of citrus can be found thanks to the juniper berries, while the acrid accents of mastic and galbanum, as well as honeycomb and rockrose are reminiscent of tobacco. Finally, Venezuelan tonka bean and vanilla-flavored Laotian benzoin round out the unisex perfume.

diptyque’s “Orphéon” Eau de Parfum retails for $188 USD and is now available to shop online.
