SAINT LAURENT × DAIDŌ MORIYAMA The French brand has announced an art collaboration starting with the legendary Japanese photographer

Eiffel Tower infinity poolsTravis Scott campaigns. And in their latest buzzy move, Saint Laurent have tapped legendary Japanese photographer Daidō Moriyama for an art collaboration, titled SELF.

Curated by Anthony Vaccarello, the project sees various tastemakers (artists, photographers and filmmakers) use their art medium to capture the attitude of Saint Laurent. Revered for his raw, black and white observations of modern-day life in Japan, Moriyama’s images – the first in the series – are haunting, fragmented snapshots of open lilies, fast-paced nightlife, a stolen moment in an alleyway. The photos will be presented in Paris at the Palais Royal between 9 – 11 November, as part of the Paris Photo Fair.
