Finn Wolfhard of 'Stranger Things' Becomes the New Face of Saint Laurent

Best known for his role as Mike Wheeler in the cult-favorite Netflix series Stranger ThingsFinn Wolfhard has just become the new face of French luxury fashion house Saint Laurent. As the brand’s creative director Anthony Vaccarello announces on Instagram, the 16-year-old actor has been cast to front the Fall/Winter 2019 campaign lensed by photographer David Sims. Wolfhard, who is also the frontman of indie rock band Calpurnia, perfectly embodies the rock’n’roll spirit of the Parisian label as he suits up in a skinny two-piece styled with patent leather boots. In another image, the Vancouver-born actor and musician is seen wearing a striped shirt with a tie and leather jacket — the look is completed with a pair of statement sunglasses, no less.  Since Stranger Things‘ original release in 2016, the fashion industry has taken a liking to the actors from the show’s robust cast. During the Spring/Summer 2018 runway show of Louis Vuitton, for instance, Nicolas Ghesquière paid tribute to the series by sending a Stranger Things poster-printed T-shirt down the catwalk. During Raf Simons‘ reign at Calvin KleinMillie Bobby Brown (who plays Eleven) was tapped for a number of campaigns, while her co-star Sadie Sink (Max) was spotted walking in Miu Miu’s Resort 2019 show.
