MELISSA × OPENING CEREMONY Introducing your new summer dream shoes

Factor 50 season is officially upon us, which means the age-old conundrum is back. Can we still pull off jelly shoes this year? For those with any lingering doubt, it’s about time you were acquainted with legendary vegan jelly shoe brand Melissa. Previously collaborating with the likes of Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, the Campana Brothers and Jason Wu, this summer they’ve teamed up with clothing retailer and concept store Opening Ceremony on a range of shoes we’re prepared to sell our souls for. Introducing three new styles, the Melissa / Opening Ceremony collection includes slider style the Flip, low-block mule the Ladii and netted sandal the Hatch, in a pallette ranging from tutti-frutti pink, neon green and lurid orange, to toffee-coloured shades and a more understated black.

“We are so excited to partner with Melissa this season,” says Carol Lim, co-founder of Opening Ceremony. “When Humberto and I visited Brazil in 2002, we discovered this super comfortable, creative footwear brand and have admired Melissa ever since. This collection marks our first collaboration together and celebrates the youthful, spirited aesthetic of both brands.” The collection has dropped exclusively at Galeria Melissa stores in New York, London and Sao Pau, as well as Opening Ceremony in New York and online at openingceremony.com. A global release will follow on 12 July on shopmelissa.comshopmelissa.uk and select retailers globally.
