Gorillaz protagonists of Fred Perry’s 2021 campaign The world’s biggest virtual band

Fred Perry has unveiled its new 2021 campaign, whose stars together form the world’s biggest virtual band, the Gorillaz.  The band was founded in 1998 by British musician and singer Damon Albarn and artist Jamie Helett and consists of frontman 2D, bassist Murdoc Niccals, guitarist Noodle and drummer Russel Hobbs. To relaunch the iconic Fred Perry Shirt, the British brand chose Gorillaz for their being a symbol of distinction and nonconformity.

Designed in the 1950s by 3-time Wimbledon champion Fred Perry and worn by generations of rebels, the Fred Perry Shirt, in its Original M12 Twin Tipped and Original M3 One Colour versions, has maintained the exact same aesthetic since it was created over 60 years ago. Still made in Leicester, England, it is a true symbol of subculture uniform with the unmistakable Laurel Wreath embroidered on the chest.
