DELPHINE DENEREAZ I draw inspiration from popular traditions, architectural ornaments, and inherited symbols. I like to reinterpret them through weaving, giving them a new life and showing how they still resonate today

What are the biggest challenges you have met in your career?
One of the biggest challenges has been to keep a coherent artistic voice while working in very different contexts – from institutions, to private or public commissions, and collaborations with luxury houses. It is always about finding a balance between staying true to my artistic language and opening myself to new frameworks or constraints.

How was your passion design art born?
My passion was born from an intimate connection with textiles. From an early age, I was fascinated by the richness of patterns, colors and techniques that have been passed down through time. Textiles are a universal language that travels across cultures and tells stories. This narrative and symbolic power made me want to choose it as my medium.

What is your main source of inspiration?
I draw inspiration from popular traditions, architectural ornaments, and inherited symbols. I like to reinterpret them through weaving, giving them a new life and showing how they still resonate today. Color, light, and natural processes of transformation – such as fading by sun or salt – also nourish my work.

What does art mean to you?
For me, art is a space of freedom and transmission. It creates bridges between past and present, between cultures, but also between traditional know-how and a contemporary vision. It is a way of shaping collective emotions and making shared stories visible.
