Last year’s Made You Look exhibition exploring black masculinity and dandyism was one reference point for Gucci‘s new pre-fall campaign, a joyous display of energetic flamboyance channelling the spirit of 60s Northern Soul culture. Also inspired by the work of the late Malian photographer, Malick Sidibé, the campaign features an all-black ensemble of models and performers captured in dance halls and make-shift studios.
Set in the Mildmay club in London, a rich, colorful dancehall, photographer Glen Luchford captures the Gucci Pre-Fall 2017 collection in a dynamic and spontaneous video.
