Alexander Wang has revealed the final drop for his third season with Adidas Originals, which continues with the theme of flawed clothing during the production process. New apparel — crop tops, dresses, skirts, windbreakers, track pants, shorts and shirts — boast one-of-a-kind, perma-wrinkled details, inspired by the idea of forgotten, “forever-folded” inventory stored in boxes. For footwear, Wang designed the AW Turnout Trainer, a bold, chunky sneaker with multi-sport tooling and two different colorways. The 16-piece collection, which boasts a color palette of red, black and blue, will be available on June 23 at select retailers worldwide and online.
Wang has partnered with photographer Brianna Capozzi again for the collaboration’s new campaign. The third season has brought the designer’s go-to crew of models from Palm Springs to a factory-based office, and now, an industrial laundromat, where Lexi Boling and Cat McNeil pose and play dress-up on ironing boards, countertops and among piles and racks of laundry.
