One of the world’s most renowned women photographers, von Unwerth empowered her subjects with her provocative female gaze. From launching the modelling careers of Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, to working with designers like Azzedine Alaïa and Chanel, Ellen von Unwerth has created some of the most pertinent works of contemporary photography.
