This season, rich embroidery, feminine silhouettes and modest hemlines took over the catwalks with regional and international designers showcasing evening glamour at AFW.

Taking place at the Meydan Hotel in Dubai, a luxury and iconic hotel – Meydan means “a meeting place” – the fourth edition of Arab Fashion Week, organized by the Arab Fashion Council, presented the collection of Marchesa, Antonio Marras, Ingie Paris, Mrhua-Mrshua, Abdo Aouadi and many more.

In its fourth year the Arab Fashion Week attracted more than 15,000 visitors including some notable front-row guests in Dubai May 16-20.

Marchesa were the guests of honour at this season’s Arab Fashion Week: the co-founder Georgina Chapman presented her ready-to-wear and bridal collections. Taking over the runway on the opening day of the event with an elegant selection of evening wear including floor-grazing gowns an incredible embellishments, the brand also closed the 5-day presentation with another show dedicated to bridal.

As much of an artist as he is a designer, Antonia Marras brings a multi-faceted aesthetic to his creations, he presented his Resort 2018 collection at Arab Fashion Week, which was inspired by the fearlessness and independence of Scarlett O’Hara.
