BOUNTY KILLART As a duo we believe that the greatest challenge is the daily challenge of reconciling two thoughts, two different ways of seeing the world and renewing our language

Eclectic, ironic and visionary, The Bounty Killart was founded within the walls of the Academy of Fine Arts in Turin by a group of young and carefree students. With a great sense of humor combined with a fervent imagination, the collective immediately approached the artistic-creative world in a new, fresh and current way.

Today, after numerous exhibitions around the world and some mutinies, the artistic baton remains in the hands of Jacopo Marchioretto and Dionigi Biolatti.

Mastering the art of engraving and sculpture and using different materials, the duo bases their artistic work on irony and expressive lightness, reworking past art in a modern and contemporary way.

Ancora tu

After some group exhibitions, the first solo exhibition entitled “Fuoritema” was inaugurated in 2009 in Turin. The following year, the works of The Bounty Killart were exhibited at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Perm, Russia, in the exhibition “Attention Border Crossing!” and in 2011 they participated in the 54th International Art Exhibition of the Venice Biennale. Subsequent exhibitions include: the group exhibition “Oggi il kitsch”, curated by

Gillo Dorfles, held in 2012 at the Triennale in Milan; the solo exhibitions “L’Air ne fait pas la chanson”, curated by Eva

Menzio, in the Tunnel Riva in Monaco in 2013 and “Jackpot!” at the Galleria Allegra Ravizza in Lugano in 2014;

historical ceramics of Palazzo Madama in Turin and finally the solo exhibitions “A Glimpse from the Future: Lost 21st-

Century Temple of Lucca” in 2021 at the Erarta Museum in St. Petersburg, Russia; “Harmonica

Dissonantia” in 2023 at the Galleria Allegra Ravizza at Villa Ca’Amata in Castelfranco Veneto and “Fabula

INTERVIEW

1-As a duo we believe that the greatest challenge is the daily challenge of reconciling two thoughts, two different ways of seeing the world and renewing our language, we can say for us every work is born from a challenge.

2-Dionigi: I think my passion was born as a child when sometimes I had to attend mass accompanying my grandmother (which bored me a lot) so I spent all my time with my head up getting lost in the baroque frescoes, from that moment I understood that art would always help me.

Jacopo :My passion for art blossomed around the age of twelve. On Saturdays I accompanied my father around antique dealers, and there I came across particular and fascinating objects: tribal masks from Gabon, scarves from Japanese kamikazes, ceramics by Ettore Sottsass and pre-Columbian sculptures that preserved the bones of the deceased.

3-We find continuous inspiration in ancient art, for it is like a magnifying glass through which we observe the world. However, everything can become a source of inspiration the daily life that surrounds us is certainly influential on our every creation.

4-We don’t know exactly, creating art is a necessity, a deep physiological  need. —
