What are the biggest challenges you have met in your career?

The primary challenge lies in the time-intensive nature of my process. My work demands patience, and balancing this commitment with the practical realities of a career can be difficult, but there’s a unique fulfillment in dedicating that time. Balancing this commitment to my process with the fast-paced demands of the art world is a delicate negotiation, but it’s in that prolonged attention to detail where the work gains its essence.

How was your passion for art born?

My passion for art is rooted in a fascination with detail—as a way to understand people and capture the nuances of expression. This first appeared to me simply in the form of drawing and craft, quickly becoming my earliest means of expression, my primary language. It felt like the most natural way to engage with the world, allowing me to capture the raw, the personal, and the untold stories around me.

What is your main source of inspiration?

Inspiration for me emerges from the intersection of personal experience and the larger sociopolitical landscape. I’m drawn to how individual and collective identities evolve in a rapidly shifting world. Whether through a cultural lens or personal view, I’m fascinated by the way people navigate these complexities, and constantly seek to reflect that dynamism in my work.

What does art mean to you?

For me, art is a means to explore and express the nuances of human experience. Through my art, I engage with the psychological and sociopolitical dimensions of identity in today’s digital age, offering a commentary on modern life. My goal is to question how knowledge, power, and identity are shaped by broader sociopolitical forces, inviting viewers to confront the dynamic, ever-evolving nature of contemporary society.
